What gets deleted

When you delete your Nourai account, the following data is permanently removed:

  • User profile (name, email, body metrics)
  • All diet entries and nutrition records
  • Uploaded food photos and label images
  • Nour AI conversation history and memories
  • Achievements and streaks
  • Emotional Insights data (if enabled)

Data processing timeline

Immediate

Your login session is invalidated and you are signed out of all devices.

Within 30 days

All personal data is permanently erased from the production database — including your user profile, diet entries, conversation history, memories, achievements, and Emotional Insights data.

Within 90 days

Database backup copies are rotated and overwritten. Your data no longer exists in any of our systems.

Ongoing

Any cached data in third-party services (Sentry crash reports, if enabled) expires per their retention policies (typically 90 days).


Before you delete

Export your data first

Go to Settings → Account → Export Data to download a JSON copy of all your records before deleting. This includes your profile, diet entries, conversation history, and achievements.


How to delete your account

  1. Open the Nourai app
  2. Tap the Settings tab (gear icon)
  3. Tap Account
  4. Tap Delete Account
  5. Read the confirmation dialog and tap Confirm

This action is irreversible

Once confirmed, all your data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Please make sure to export your data first if you want to keep a copy.


Can't access the app?

If you cannot access the Nourai app, you can request account deletion by email:

  1. Send an email to privacy@nourai.app
  2. Use the email address registered with your Nourai account
  3. Set the subject line to “Account Deletion Request”

We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days.
