Nourai is an AI-powered food and nutrition tracking app. Snap a photo of your meal and our AI identifies the food, estimates the weight, and logs the nutrition data automatically — all in about 5 seconds. Nutrition values come from authoritative databases (USDA and Open Food Facts), never from AI guesswork.

There are several ways to log a meal:

• Photo: Take a photo of your food — AI recognizes it and estimates the weight in 5 seconds.
• Barcode: Scan a packaged food barcode for instant lookup.
• Nutrition label: Photograph a nutrition label and macros are extracted automatically.
• Voice: Say something like “I had two eggs and a bowl of oatmeal” and AI creates the entry.
• Manual search: Search from 3M+ foods in the USDA and Open Food Facts databases.

Our AI (powered by Claude Vision) achieves high accuracy for common foods. For uncommon or mixed dishes, you can always review and adjust the results before saving. Importantly, the AI only identifies food type and estimates weight — all nutrition values come from the USDA and Open Food Facts databases, never fabricated by the AI.

Yes. We follow a data minimization principle. Your food photos are used only for the current recognition and are never used to train AI models. Passwords are hashed with argon2. All communication is encrypted via TLS 1.3. We do not use any advertising trackers or analytics SDKs (except optional Sentry for crash reporting). Read our full Privacy Policy.

Open Nourai → Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your personal data (profile, diet entries, conversations, photos) from our servers within 30 days. The app interface is available in Simplified Chinese and English. The AI food recognition works with food from any cuisine. Additional languages (Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French) are planned for future updates.

Yes, Nourai is currently free to use with all features available. We may introduce Nourai Plus (a premium subscription) in the future for advanced insights, unlimited AI conversations, and personalized meal recommendations. Current users will retain free access to core features.
